Why would a guy say I looks different from my photos?

Basically me and this guy decided to meet up to hang out we weren't trying to date or anything and he asked to meet and when we met he said I looked different from my photo which is weird because the photo literally looks like me I didn't put no filters or anything, but after he said that he continued to talk to me about stuff but the whole time I was just still alittle upset by that comment because I don't know if he meant it in a bad way or good way, but after he said that he kept making eyecontact with me giving a slight smile here and there but I still am alittle upset because I feel like he's calling me fake or something or he's saying I look bad but I'm still confused because I literally look like how the photo I sent him of me just my eyeshadow is a different color literally my whole face is still the same, it kinda hurt my feelings because I don't know if he meant it in a good way or bad way.😞

I’m sorry about that. Please know that it’s normal to have doubt in such a situation. And people should be mindful of what they say to another person when it comes to appearance.


Yes it’s normal to think that maybe the person thinks that the picture looks more beautiful. But it could still mean that he just finds you a little different between pictures and real life, that doesn’t mean you’re less attractive in real life, it could just be an opinion instead of commenting on your attractiveness.
