Guys, Is it normal for a guy to rain check for his best friend that is going through a rough patch with their girl?

I have no issue with him hanging out w/ his best friend, but b/c of his past I do have to be cautious the least bit for myself. I’ve never met his best friend until recently this year, but seen/heard about him 2 years ago, so I don't know how they are together, like if he cheats on his girl & my man tags along. Extra info: rekindling with my ex after yearsssss, was terrible to me in the past, but admitted it to me & apologized, he wants to focus on me & pursue a relationship the right way again. Has been consistent for the most part, but he just seems to hang out w/ him (his best friend) more -activity wise- than me. I feel like I’m more jealous of their relationship more than anything. by the way they live together as roomates.

if you mean common, that is irrelevant but it is good he also spends time with him because they are best friends. such jealousy is over reacting.
