Why do some people think men should give all their effort into a woman and women shouldn’t give any back?

Not everyone thinks like this. But when with traditional values. Men and women worked equally as hard in different roles. In modern society men and women split these roles.

But some think. A man should pay for everything, a man should pamper his wife, give her anything she wants, cook, clean, do the dishes. And just get nothing back. But maybe a little sex.

They say “women are allowed to have standards” but don’t think men should either. They seem to forget. Men are allowed to have standards too. They’re allowed to not pick those women who are like that. And many guys don’t…. So they become bitter.

These women feel entitled that a man has to do those things. “I can have standards” sure. Absolutely. But so can men. Men don’t have to pick you the same as you don’t have to pick a certain guy.

I think it depends on the timeline. Most people expect men to put more effort into wooing her at the beginning of the relationship. After getting married, the script flips. Suddenly the woman is expected to carry the relationship and the bar is on the floor for husbands. As to why that is, gender norms I suppose. It's dumb.

It really depends on what you’re looking for. It should be about love and equal effort. Sure people should find what makes them happy. But. If you have unreasonable standards. It’s not a shock why maybe someone wouldn’t chose you.

Exactly. 1 to 2 percent. I make it clear that I’m not speaking of all women or men. But a lot of people hyper focus on small percentages

Remnant of old traditions. Women used to be things that men were to get and take care of, now they're supposed to be individuals, but a lot of them, particularly western women don't have anything to offer as a person in a relationship

I don’t know about that. I see no benefits of pouring your life into something and getting nothing back. In traditional marriages. Men didn’t have to lift a finger around the house. Take care od the kids. The list goes on. Women did a lot.

But many stay at home moms. They wanna stay home watching TV getting their hair and nails done while their man is at work and seeing Chad a little in between

Plenty of women have a LOT to offer. If you find the right ones and are the type of guy they want.

The same applies to men. You can’t be a man whore and expect to marry a virgin.

Many women are the same way too. They wanna fuck the bad boys and marry the good man whose a provider and protector. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Your overall mentality is that of a thirteen year old, sorry. It's simple, corporate filled capitalism needed consumerist individuals.

And American youth these days see everything, even relationships as things that are to be consumed. I see a lot of people on Youtube using loathsome terms like ''Dating market, body count, value etc''

Commodifying human relationships and thinking them in almost in material gains.

Most people are also turned oblivious to their social class, they are straight up ignorant, don't have much depth in their general views etc.

So it's an overall social collapse.

Not just ''Women wanna fuck around and men also wanna fuck around and decent ones are getting sidelined''
