Why is my male coworker being more friendly towards me after I told him I have a boyfriend?

So my male coworker really annoys me. I honestly only tolerate him, but there is definitely something strange and off-putting about him. He seems nice, but he's very strange. My other colleagues say the same thing about him. I catch him staring at me/watching me to the point it makes me feel uncomfortable. He is not attractive at all, if anything I'm a little grossed out by his presence because he has poor mannerisms. I caught him stare at my chest twice as well, ew. The other annoying thing he does is try to show off to me. How do I politely get him to take the hint that I have zero interest in him and never will? I tried to wrote this without gagging. I know I am being really mean, but if you were to see him/see how he behaves you would feel the same.

I wish it were that easy lol. Unfortunately he knows him because we all went to school together as we are the same age.

Then just politely ask him not to give you so much attention, because it makes you uncomfortable.
