He told me I was being disrespectful and hasn't talked to me in months. I can't be in the wrong?

We hit it off quite quick and we got a long really well. However, he apparently said I was being disrespectful several times. I meant it as a joke calling him lame, weird and pathetic, shorter than most guys. I thought he took it as a joke. I also said sorry all the time. He told me that it wasn't right that I spoke to him like that at all and told me to stop. He then gave me an ultimatum that if I didn't quit it 'disrespecting him' then we shouldn't talk or see each other anymore. Now it's been months and I feel bad, I barely see him around and I feel bad. I do like him and I feel bad. He ignores me and doesn't talk to me, doesn't even look at me in classes. Any advice to help out? I can't get him out my mind, he's leaving this year. any ideas?

So u made "jokes" that he made clear he didn't find funny or liked let u make them multiple times and kept warning you to which u continued he gave u a choice and now u are asking what u did wrong sorry are u crazy u are in the wrong here lol he set a boundary and u felt the need to cross it multiple times

Yeah, my advice is learn to think before you speak and not say the stupid shit you said to him because he's already dealing with being shorter, weirder, and thought of as lame or pathetic by other people. Then you come along, someone who supposedly likes him, and reinforce the same shit. You should have been able to see he didn't think it was funny the first time, apologized, and if you like him as you say you do, be supportive or at least not demeaning.

My advice is #1) get over yourself. #2) Leave him be - he doesn't need your immaturity or does he want your apology. #3) Learn from this before you open your mouth with the next guy you supposedly care about.
