I prefer the guy to drive. I myself am a good driver, but I do suck at directions. I get stressed driving places I don't normally drive when I'm with others, and I worry I'm going to make a fool of myself by doing something stupid. Plus, I enjoy more "traditional" roles of the guy & girl- typically guys would drive has a sign of being dominant.
I suck at directions too but if I get lost or miss a turn or something I kind of just make a joke of it. I'll say hey you guys know I'm bad at finding places. Or I'll be like I'm directionally impaired, give me a break! I do see your point about it being stressful if you're with someone you don't know and it making you look bad. To me, it's just a part of my personality and they get the idea eventually. :)
lol, well I get seriously stressed, and my boyfriend knows know to take over the driving position when going somewhere I don't go all the time without even saying anything :P
It would really bother me. My boyfriend drives everywhere we go, and that's the way I like it. Once in a blue moon I'll decide to, but... I just think it's the guys responsibility. My ex drove a really sh*tty car, and I refused to go in it... so we would always take my car, but he would drive it.
It does not matter, I don't mind driving but sometimes it makes me a little nervous as long as the guy doesn't mind me driving them I am happy to pick him up on a date, or do the driving to go somewhere.
Well I guess I have been with quite a few men that prefer I drive. I do like it when someone else helps drive on a long trip but really it doesn't matter to me. I have a great car and if I want to go somewhere, I will make it happen.
I had to drive most of my exes around and I'd rather not anymore. I don't mind driving once in a while, but like you, I get really anxious driving long distance or in an unfamiliar area. I'd prefer him to drive.
I would say that it depends on if the guy wants to take turns, or if he is so afraid of driving that it forces the girl to drive ALL the time. That isn't fair to the girl. Even if she likes to drive, she shouldn't have to drive all the time.
A man that is too afraid to do something that is accepted, as a normal part of life, is not a sexy trait for a man to have. Women like strong confident men, that have courage to face their fears.
No I don't care if a guy doesn't drive as a car is very pricey to even keep, I would rather him keep his money and spend it on more useful things than a car.
Wouldn't surprise me if it made a man less attractive in the eyes of most women. Women generally like men who serve some practical use to them - e.g. driving them around, protecting them, providing for them.
Then you would deff get nervous when o drive. hahha. actually love to drive the only time that its a problem is if its a trip and its a long one he would prob have to drive at night or w.e. but driving is awsome when there is no traffic. haha.
I'm a terrible driver. He isn't and I feel much safer if he drives. So YES it matters if he doesn't like to drive. That forces my nervous ads to take the wheel.
I would be fine with it. I like driving so I wouldn't mind driving most of the time, but sometimes when it is necessary I would also like him to take an initiative in driving. It would be just more convenient.
Any women who says she doesn't mind driving is so full of sh*t. I don't even have my drivers license let alone a car. Why do you think women go out with guys withe the coolest cars?
In my case he kinda has to since I was in a really bad car accident when I was 7 ( was paralyzed for 6 months )and I still refuse to go to drivers ed , it freaks me out .
No, doesn't bother me at all. I'd be impressed at his courage; I'm not the best driver in the world.

I get lost really easy, so it would be a big plus for me if my guy liked to drive. But for other girls, it wouldn't matter. Also, a lot of people in the city don't drive at all.

I honestly hate driving.

Well I don't like to drive either but that's just because it's so f***ing expensive now. I prefer the bus or riding a bike.
But in response to the OP, no, I wouldn't matter at all.

No there is no problem. Driving does suck, especially with high gas prices, and stupid drivers. I wouldn't mind if we took turns.

Prefer men that drive but wouldn't be too bothered if they did not.
I reckon I am a good driver but I also get anxious when I drive as well. When I had a car I only drove cause I had to. I never did it for fun. LoL.
Loved the convenience of it but.
it would bother me, I feel the same way as you about driving hah, I'd like it if he drove most of the time
I wouldn't mind at all. Although, he has to drive at night.
whys that?
