When we first started dating I was one of those girls who would look at other girls with my boyfriend but after being cheated on... it makes you a little more insecure and a little more self conscious.


Also I feel like its disrespectful to the fact that when he knows that it bothers me but does nothing about it. Makes me wonder how much he really cares about how I feel.


I know models or celebs are that big of a deal but sometimes it would be nice to see my "Sexy" pic or just my pic ya know?

Actually, SHE is the one who has the hot Maxim-type girl pics on her phone (she's bi, so she enjoys seeing hot girls).

I have generic tech-related stuff as my phone/tablet backgrounds, because I don't want to offend any clients who might see them. I don't have personal pics for the same reason; I use my tablet to demo things for customers sometimes, and they often want to try it out. I do have "hot girl" pics on my desktop PC at home, and not only is she fine with that, she's added some of the pics to my folder.

It wouldn't bother me if she had some picture of some hunky guy model or musician or actor. They're probably all a lot better looking than me, and it's just a fantasy/nice to look at. I know she has no REAL interest in those guys. For example, she thinks Gerard Butler is very hot, but it's not like she'd going to drive down to LA and stalk him. He's just a good-looking celebrity.

She is the same way. She knows I think Scarlett Johanssen is really hot (she agrees!), but it's not like I'm trying to date her or anything. It would be one thing if I was obsessed with her and stalking her or trying to communicate with her, but I'm not (as if she'd be interested!). It's just a bit of harmless celebrity/hot girl worship.

Its fine as long as its not someone local. I know as guys we often get backgrounds of half naked women models, it means nothing and you really should not be worried. If it is someone local then you have issues ha ha. For example I would not have an issue if my girlfriend had pictures of male models or something, half naked pics of my neighbor might piss me off. Really if this is a issue for you ask him to change it, I'm sure he would say yes if he knew it bothered you.

well that's kinda messed up, I mean if he thought it was fine with you then ok.. simple mistake. If you made it clear though that it bothers you and he shrugged you off then he may not respect you as much as he should. you should change the background and see his reaction, if he tries to change it back dump him, because it is a small issue but if he is willing to ignore your wishes on something small like that there is no way he will listen to you on more important matters.

My first boyfriend was kind of a huge jerk. I never saw his phone, but I'm sure it was some sort of p*rno background. All he wanted to talk about with anyone was lesbian p*rn, and how big his d*** was. We didn't have many conversations, lol. Instead of realizing what an uninteresting and disgusting person he was, I would go home and cry about how all he cared about was boobs. I think the main problem isn't when people like to look at nice looking people, it's when that becomes who they are.

I've read through other responses, and it seems like the majority of people are cool with your scenario, but personally, I wouldn't be. I think it shows a lack of respect. It's even more disrespectful if they won't change it. I would be upset by that to the point of dumping him.

My guy has a picture of me on his screen and I have one of us two together. It makes me feel good to know he likes to see my picture vs someone else whenever he looks at his phone. Would it bother me if he had a sexy lady on there? Not really. Sexy women are nice to look at, guys are visual, it's OK. With my last ex-wife, I would love to have put sexy pics of her on my phone, but she never wanted me to take sexy pics of her. However, she had no problem taking sexy mirror pictures and posting them on her Facebook for everyone.

I encourage you to step forward, talk to him about it, and tell him you want to be the background picture on his phone. And then offer to take some sexy pics with him or for him.

Depends on who the person is. If it was a famous person, then who cares. If it is her best guy friend and they've been friends since before I showed up, no worries. If it is some random dude she met at the bar a couple weeks ago, probably worth a little concern. I don't know that I would necessarily ask her to change it though.

This is more of a question so about lack of confidence and insecurity. Guys are going to look at other girls. There's no way around that. But it's not who they look at but who they go home with that's important. Think of it like this. A guy can look at another guy's car, or just a car in a showroom. But his car that he depends on and gets him places and sits in his garage and that he washes and works on and takes care of will always mean more to him.

Be confident in your man, and don't be so insecure about the little things.
