Does a man referring to a woman as a "bitch", mean he automatically disrespects women?

I'm asking this question, because of another question I saw on here
asking "if a man calling a woman a bitch is a red flag", The girls, said it
was and some guys did too. And, of course it got my wheels spinning
out control, in my mind. Because, all my friends are guys and I really
like some of the guys and they mean something to me in one way or another.
And, each of those guys at one time or another, has referred to a woman as a bitch.
Not out of disrespect or because he's the devil incarnate. But, because he was
mad at the woman and thought her behavior was in fact bitchy.

So, I guess I just want to know. How is it a redflag or a sign of a man's
disrespect towards women, if he calls her that in the heat of anger?
Or, if she is in fact acting that way, doesn't he have the right to express that?

Also, how is it okay for women to call men names when they're angry.
But, not okay for guys to do the same?

And, how is it only disrepectful when a man calls a woman that.
But, not when a woman calls another woman that?

It means you need to get different friends. The word is negative and points to how he feels about all woman at some time. A dog. A female dog for breeding is what he may see all women are good for and there are many guys who think the entire purpose for a woman is sex. So if bitch is on his mind and the only way he can describe a woman then he has not taken the time to see if there are women out in the world.

The word shows lack of education and is wrong if said by a woman or man. I have never heard my mother use the word or any people in college who actually finished college. I have seen grown men in their 50 say mf , bitch and a host of other slangs and it just proved one point, it is for poor people.

Don't read too much into it. People call others names when they are angry. At one point some women tried labeling the word bitch as some type of hate speech, but they were silenced by other women that embraced the word as a sign that she had power over the man saying it. Since more women started acting like it was a complement, I stopped hearing anything about it being a red flag. Now the word is just an insult used on both guys and girls, although the meaning may change depending on if it is used on a guy or a girl. Anyone calling that a red flag is over reacting, or too concerned with being politically correct to be honest.

I don't think men who say that are "the devil," but its a red flag because if he says something like that when he's angry, what else might he do when he's angry?
I get what you're saying about women calling men names, but i think the difference lies in the name. calling a woman a bitch is worse than a girl saying that a guy is being a jerk, because bitch holds more weight to it. Bitch is not just "being mean", the way jerk is a word for "being mean". Bitch is usually said to undermine women and imply they are less than men (I say usually because I do have a friend who calls everyone a bitch, men and women). A man calling a woman a bitch usually signals that to a certain extent, he thinks less of women.

Not all of the time because some people really are bitches and I use that term quite liberally because some men are also bitches. You also want to know why some one is refered to as a bitch to be quite honest. Like maybe they are mean , snobby or ratchett

Not unless he calls all women bitches or even a significant number of them that he talks about. But one woman? It's possible she's not a nice person.

I don't think so. It's like asking do girls who call guys "assholes" disrespect men? Some girls are bitches, and some guys are assholes, that's just the facts. But then again you can obviously use it in very inappropriate ways too. So it really depends... If these are your friends and they mean a lot to you, it doesn't sound like the are disrespecting you at all.

You're right, they're not. They've never called me that name, they treat me well.

If a gal really pisses of a guy, then an outburst of "bitch", while maybe not right, is understandable. But a lot of guys call any gal a bitch, and many others use bitch way to commonly, even if not for all gals. If you hear a guy doing it more than a couple of times, it is something to be aware of and consider what kind of respect he has for women.

Not necessarily, just because people have been reclaiming certain words to take away negative meanings. Everything depends on the context the word is used in.

I personally don't call women that on general principle that it can be interpreted as a disrespectful word, and I don't want to risk setting a precedent for disrespect in any form. The fact you are asking this question is exactly the kind of possibility I want to avoid.

i'm pretty sure they call you that behind your back... a guy who calls women bitches is not to be trusted... like the anon girl said the word is very offensive... i don't know any names for guys that would be as much degrading... this word is not to be used... even when angry... women calling other women bitches is a bad sign really... such women are misogynistic... if a woman calls other women bitches/sluts/whores it's a red flag to me... i would never date a girl like that...

It's a test to see if you'll accept the label. If you let him call you "bitch" and you don't protest, you basically agree to be his bitch. If you make it clear that he had better NEVER call you that again, he will have have A TON more respect for you.
And remember for future relationships that no decent guy wants a girl who has been another man's bitch.
