I horse ride and I go to the gym sometimes but I struggle to find something I can do for longer than a minute. Anything where I have to get up quick is a no no.
Does anybody have any good suggestions? :)
Well for your leg injury I would do exercises that use one leg and do them carefully so you can get the injured legs strength level closer to your other legs. And do exercises that you can do comfortable without irritating your back seated bikes work or exercises on a bench that can support your back.
Thank you for all these suggestions! I hadn't actually put much thought into any of this because I just assumed I couldn't do it, I didn't think I could vary it up a bit :) I might have to see how squats go. Actually the problem there would probably be fainting, if I get up quick that's not good haha.
Good thing squats are done nice and slow here never tell yourself that you can't do something I have a genetic shoulder problem I inherited. From my dad as well as back problems and sciatica in my lower back and leg and I do martial arts and work out intensely in all body areas I never gave up and never will neither should you.
Water workouts, elliptical, easy cycling.
Resistance band training is great for physical therapy. Get a workout ball. So many good things you can do with that :)
i have a heart condition and i used to do pilates at home. i do a lot of walking these days.

A fried of mine has a heart condition but still works out a lot...he does pushups, situps, pullups, rides the bike and also does some swimming.
What about the bike with a back rest, would that be comfortable?
I just meant a seated Bike with a back rest haha
You're welcome :)
What's the deal with your spinal injury anyway, is it ever likely to get any better?
I would consult with a physical therapist on what you can do
On the bike. Cardio
