I'm going to start strength training too.
I need help with gaining weight?

I know it's not what you want to hear, but societal notions of what is healthy are not necessarily so. Overweight is such the norm now, that it got me thinking, that some medically obese people I would not bat an eyelid at being particularly unusual. I would just think they are a normal weight on the basis of their appearance, just because what is normal, has shifted considerably in the past few decades. Don't neglect your internal health. I'm skinny, but know for a fact that I am healthier and internally stronger than most people who are a 'normal' weight. I'm definitely healthier than when I used to weigh more, because of the way I feel and move now. Also, some men, including me, really like skinny girls. Why are you listening to your male friend as if his opinion is of any more value than people who like you as you are? Some people have a fast metabolism and a thin frame, so in fact, being skinny is healthy for them, and over eating is never healthy in any case. Just be healthy. And don't listen to other people.
If you can't put weight on with 2500 calories there's something wrong. Either you're not counting calories properly and you're eating less than you think (which is usually the case with people who say they struggle putting on weight, myself included), or there's something medically wrong, in which case you need to see a doctor.
For somebody who has a normal job and works out 4 times a week, in order to bulk up they need about 42x their bodyweight in kg, which for you is 2268. If you have a very physical job it's 52x your bodyweight, which for you is 2808.
If you want to build muscle you need your meals to be more balanced - 20% protein, 40% carbs, 40% veg. Also when you get hungry and just want a snack, reach for the protein rather than carbs. I usually snack on nuts, or I make myself some tuna sandwiches or peanut butter sandwiches. I used to struggle to put weight on too think I was eating a lot but I really wasn't, and I've just put a stone of muscle on in a couple of months.
I used to eat like the "Raw till 4" thing and they said that it's very hard to eat mostly carb and gain weight and I guess they were right :/
Yeah you need protein to build muscle. A man needs about 1 gram of protein a day per pound of bodyweight to bulk up, I'm not sure how much a woman needs though.
Don't gain weight for some dude. If you hadn't mentioned him I would believe you were doing it for yourself. Work out your glutes and your butt will grow. Don't listen to a "feeder".
It's not only him I go to an all boy class so it's 26 guys and then me and the only thing they talk about is big butts so I guess they have a big affect on me too
I have been thin all my life and I have felt the same by people's comments... Only to still fall short of their expectations once I gained weight, and then felt alone and UNTRUE to myself, me being the most important person in the equation.
Don't change yourself for others, please. You will regret it.
Especially in a group of guys, I can guarantee once you start putting on weight, someone WILL start poking fun at you for it. Guys are not gentle and sensitive and roll in a pack like that, which is also likely why they're ALL hanging up on you about it.
I guarantee once you give the "I don't give a flying fuck what you think" attitude it will stop and you'll be respected
Yeah you're so right! Who is he to say that I'm not attractive! I was being so stupid
Icecream, cake, chocolate, milkshakes, protein shakes just keep eating dude

You shouldn't this just because of a guy's comments I think.
But anyway fruits like dried dates and apricots along with cheshunts and pumpkin seeds are high in protien.
So it black eyed peas and lentils are also. Drink wise soya and almond milk should be cool.
You should be careful with fats, when cooking with oils use coconut oil. Its not a complex fat, easy to burn off when working out (for your waist). You can't select where to add weight but you can choose where to lose the most. Eat a small meal like every 2 and half hours to gain the weight. Working out at a higher intake helps calories quicker so no worries. But make sure you want to do this, it takes commitment and you're most likely fine :)
He's my only friend and he says I'm unattractive :( Thank you for your tips :))
That doesn't really sound like a good friend
Honestly that's a perfect size to me. You're going to likely gain weight over your life so enjoy your weight now. You're perfectttt. Trust me. Don't change. Not all guys agree with me but just go with the guys that do.
To be honest with you if u really love someone and care alotr about the person size shouldn't be an issue, when i love i love beyong apperance, love inner most of someone which comes through the heart and not physical.does it mean if he marries you and u lost ur eyes by accident he won't love u anymore? be realistic so u can have a life to live and not to live someone else live.
That's a lot.. are you sure you're consuming 2500 cals/day? Are you very active?
Yes I eat a loooot. 1000 calories for breakfast, 500 lunch, 1000 for dinner. I just started to become active
You should increase your protein and fat by 10% and see if that helps. Eat over all of 3000 calories a day
That male friend is wrong.
That weight is elite. That guy's an idiot.
Sound a truck stop dinner
