Acne lives on my face,,,,,, HELP?
any advice/treatments you recommend?
I used to have acne on my face. From the time I turned 17 all the way to 21 I've had a pimple or some kind of acne going on my face everyday, it was depressing and embarrassing. It was rare that I had a clean smooth face during those times. I'm still 21 but it's amazing how my face just suddenly cleared up! I don't know what I did or am doing but I rarely get acne now. People tend to compliment me more on my looks, I get hit on now, and just feels so refreshing.
Before when I had a lot, what I used to do is cut down on sugar and eat healthy (no junk food or fatties). The change was drastic too whenever I went on long stretches without eating bad. Another thing i did was leave the acne/pimples alone. DONT POP THEM!! Lots of people for some reason think this is some sort of solution to their problem. The only thing this will do is cause more acne breakouts from the bacteria released and scar your skin.
I think acne has got to do a lot with genetics and what your diet is. If you watch out what you eat and how you handle your lifestyle, it will reduce the amount you have on your face.
Are you familiar with this research - might be something to investigate:

"Long-term Research Links Dairy and High-Sugar Foods to Acne"
"Review of 50 years of clinical studies indicates there may be a link between diet and acne after all. It's been a subject of debate for decades, but it seems diet really does have an impact on a person's complexion.
A landmark overview of research carried out over the past 50 years has found that eating foods with a high glycaemic index (GI) and drinking milk not only aggravated acne, but in some cases triggered it, too."
Order PRO ACTIVE Kit online... I had a cousin who had bad acne and it worked miracles, sweetie... You can get this online, advertised too on TV... And a reputable dermatologist is always an answer... Something has to give, something has to work... Millions of people out there have This and use something to eventually get rid of it...
Yes, perhaps a "Late bloomer," but there may be Something you are using on your face or even Eating to Cause the blossoms to come out now. Experiment some with What you've been doing in the last few months...
Good luck. xx
Everyone else doesn't realize acne is mainly caused by what you eat, it spreads based on how clean your face is... I have acne, but last week I stopped eating junk food... it was hard... but it was worth it, i haven't seen my clean face in years, and trust me I'm not fat nor am I always eating junk food, I just had something small everyday and that was causing problems to my face. I am really happy now that it is all gone, off course continue to wash ur face twice-three times a day and not to touch ur face

Go to a dermatologist. I know it can be expensive, but if you're serious about a clear face it's the way to go. Your acne, like most acne, is likely the result of hormones which means topical treatment probably won't do much. If you go to the dermatologist they can prescribe you medication similar to accutane (accutane itself is no longer on the market) or may recommend you to an Ob/Gyn who can prescribe a particular kind of birth control that helps with acne. If you're not comfortable with an oral treatment a dermatologist can still find the best combination of topical treatments for you. No matter what you use, I recommend purchasing a Clarisonic which works well for me. Try to not stress and bests of luck!
Accutane, i had acne all through high school and college and tried everything. Until i took a course of this stuff and it was incredible. Sucks while you're on it, but the outcome is worth it.
But if it only started 4 months ago, take everything away and look for any changes. Did you start any new medication? Change in diet or washing detergent? Then take things one step at a time, start with diet and hygiene basics. Then start with mild skin care routines, you should give the brand La Roche-Posay a try as it's for sensitive skin. Sometimes over using medication or creams, or using harsh ones makes things worse. But if that still doesn't help do an accutane treatment.
Best of luck
If you've tried everything, you might've heard of these before, but I'll share anyway. Drink a lot of water. Change sheets and especially pillow cases frequently. For pillow cases, a clean one every day is preferable to avoid build up of oils on it. Try applying diluted tea tree oil to your face daily.
An extreme option would be Accutane, a medication that comes with some extreme side effects and is used under very close medical supervision. It helped me a lot.
I'm sorry about that. Have you tried steroidal treatment? The other option I know of is antibiotics. If not down to infection or hormones it could be a reaction to stress, chemical or food.
Have you spoken to a dermatologist yet? Did anything having to do with your diet/stress level etc, drastically change 4 months ago?

Not me, but I use the same thing at it's the best
go to a dermatologist... maybe you'll have to take something oral apart from putting something on your face.. thats what i did.. it worked... hope you have insurance because the medicine is not cheap...
