Honestly I would have to say do it up. There was a lot that I wanted to try and I went out and did a bunch of it, only problem is if you get addicted sometimes you can't tell until its a problem then it is really hard to stop. If you smoke I would say stick to cigars people tend to be habitual not everyday smokers like cigarettes. I smoked cigars since I was 18 I am 21 now I quit for good in August because my cardio was getting bad and my hair was thinning out. I have drank so much that I blacked out and couldn't remember anything of what I said or done and that's happened 2 or 3 times. Do what you want if your not living the life you desire then what's the point of living at all. Next on my list is Sex & Love hopefully together I will have to wait and see. Second runner up is dancing I want to dance my ass of lately not sure why lol

First of all not doing those things doesn't make you lame. However, like you, I wanted to try it for myself though so I did. Smoking once isn't going to hurt, just dont make a habit of it. The first time I smoked, when the nicotine hit me I nearly fell over and couldnt balance lol, it was kind of cool. After a while you get used to it and this goes away, but stop before this happens if you dont want to get hooked. I started getting headaches and irritable if I hadn't smoked in a while so I stopped before it became a problem. I suggest smoking one or two and calling it quits. It is impossible to smoke, even lightly without becoming addicted.
There are times when I wish I hadn't tried those things. My grandpa wanted me to smoke his pipe when I was only 5 years old. Ugh, that was awful. I don't see the point in drinking alcohol. Everyone has individual preferences, but for me, I hate the taste of it; it makes me nauseous.
My opinions, though, are partially based on the fact that my family members tend to be alcoholics, smokers, and druggies, and partially based on that that kind of stuff just isn't good for your health.

Smoking is bad. And there are no benefits. There's an evaluation of pros and cons - are the pros of knowledge more valuable than the cons of cardiovascular risk factors and possible addiction?
Apart from that, do whatever you want. It's your body you're screwing up in your experimentation process, not mine.Try it, but be smart about it.
As in... drink all the vodka you want, but don't be surprised when you can't drive home. Or, smoke cigarettes/cigars/weed but don't freak out when you hack so much that you think your lungs are going to pop out. Have a plan about how to get shit-faced and experiment without killing yourself.
Smoke and drink till you die, but don't die because of smoking and drinking. Make sense?It's not bad to try some of these things out of curiosity. Just know that everything you do to your brain will stay with you for the rest of your life. Smoking is addictive and if you do it long enough you will find it hard to quit. Drinking alcohol has it's own set of problems a well.
You can have a little fun and see what the big deal is with this stuff and maybe you will walk away from it all and forget about it.Nicotine is a dangerous drug to play around with. I felt the same way you did about it and 20 years later (and thousands upon thousands of dollars later) I'm still hooked. I've been trying to quit but it's very hard. My advice is don't pick up that first smoke.
Drinking can be fun if done responsibly. But it is an addictive substance as well so just be cautious.
There's nothing wrong with experimenting but just remember these can be dangerous things to play with.If you can hold off, one day you will look back at your desires right now and say, "Wow! I am SO glad I never tried smoking!"
