Am I being selfish? Opinions needed?

I need braces. Badly my teeth are crooked. So does my brother. My mom says she's going to call to see if the orthodontist place close to us accepts our insurance but if it doesn't we won't do anything more.

There's a place an hour away that does accept it but she says it's a lot of work to go and come back.

I feel like I'm being selfish in a way. What should I do?

I don't think you are being selfish. If you need your teeth fixed, you should get it done asap. It might take a while, i went and first got braces when i was 8 and had them until i was 14.

See if someone else who drive you, perhaps a relative of a friend who drives. call other dentists nearby and see if they take the insurance as well.
