High metabolism and fast heart rate hand and hand?

I've not read anything that suggest that high metabolism causes you heart to beat quickly but i would kind of assume so. is this true? my gf has a high metabolism and when cuddling one night and her heart was beating quick, i aliken it to how your heart beats after a jog or when your insanely excited. i found it interesting because it didn't slow even as she slept

No, not true. Some athletes have high metabolisms but very very very low resting heartrates, like 35 beats per minute. I think it's strange that her heart beats fast like that in sleep too...

I read your pulse shouldn't be more than 80 beats per minute at rest. She should see a doc. I don't think it has anything to do with a high metabolism, but a disease.

Metabolism and heart rate has no direct connection at all.

Heart rate has nothing to do with metabolism, but with stamina and physical activity.
