Can braces change your smile?

I hate my smile and am getting braces, soon but I really hope that it changes it because I will be 18 soon and really hope when i get the braces I can have a nice smile because I am really insecure about it now, But not sure it may not even change my smile :(

I've had braces for a year. The top ones since last March at the end of March and I got the bottom ones on in August. I noticed that my top teeth have gotten more straight but I don't know about my bottom teeth. They say it takes time and everyone's mouths are different. They're supposed to make your teeth straight, help an overbite and help with the overcrowding problems

I had braces for about 3 years and they changed my smile soo much! I'm really happy with how my teeth are now, although prefer for a bit of pain when they get tightened!

Braces look cute on girl trust me and braces do slightly
hurt for while to you get used to them.
