Maybe go for filling foods? Like if you have some yogurt and flaxseed that will fill you up way more than the empty calories in a bag of chips so you won't want to eat more. Maybe try to stop buying junk foods as well? If it's not in house it will be a hassle to get it.

Find some type of exercise that you can still do with your ankle injured, like swimming. I know that I naturally eat more healthy foods when I am exercising and living a healthy life style, rather than just trying to diet.
Learn self-hypnosis. I did when I was seventeen and it helped me quit smoking and became a health oriented.
Stay away from sugar. It's addictive and increases your weight even faster than fat.
