The Breakup?

I broke up with my girlfriend of 9 months about 4 months ago. She told me that she was a "Traditional Girl" and that she couldn't do this anymore.I read this as a breakup, however a good majority of my friends now tell me that she wanted commitment. So we broke up and she asked me not to call her more than twice a week for some strange reason. I didn't talk to her for 3 months. I then went to her office once to get some books and money that she had that belonged to me. She looked terrible, upset and sick. I spoke to her friend later on who said she has been sick pretty much from the breakup and that she had asked me for the max twice a week contact because she didn't want to get "too attached" to me.

The ex gf, later on sent me an email saying I shouldn't visit her office for social visits as its "not professional". I agreed and also politely pointed out that it wasn't a problem in the past.

My problem is her family is still trying to get commitment from me through my family, which had left me perplexed as we had broken up. Initially, I couldn't be bothered as I thought we broke up, its time to move on.Later on, I understood by what she meant as traditional and etc...also I personally feel responsible for her health. I also do miss her loads.

Ive made her laugh and cry...now 4 months later I was thinking of calling her up and arranging a meeting so that we can like talk about all the stuff and whether we should give it another shot or break up like adults..

any thoughts?
