I also have my programme sorted out bit im a little nervous about going back and a little self consious about starting back up.
Does any one have any tips to help me get over this?
There's nothing to be nervous about.
To other gym-goers who are actually into their workout, you're nobody. Most people there will be too focused on finishing their reps, set, or own routine to judge you in any way. Just make a good playlist for yourself to listen to and get back into going to the gym on a regular basis until your nerves melt away and your confidence while gymming it grows.
Try not to feel so self-conscious. Most people are busy thinking about themselves and their own personal goals rather than judging others.
Force yourself to go! Once you get into the routine and start seeing results, it'll start being fun and less of a chore.
It might be worth it to go either early in the morning or late at night, when it's less crowded.
Don't over estimate how far you were before you stopped working out. It's easy to look at what you used to do now that you're out of shape and idealize it. The hardest part really is just starting. Once you're in momentum it's easier.
Focus on the process and not the outcome. Just make sure you're doing everything right and that every rep is done as perfectly as can be done.
Get some good music to get you pumping.
Start slow, look at yourself in the mirror , visualize what you want to be , then back at yourself. Visualize what you need to do to get there. Get out there and do what needs to be done.

I used to have this like a year ago when I started going to the gym alone, I just forced myself to go once and then realized literally no one there cares, no one's gonna be staring at you curling weights or thinking anything bad, I just always think even if people are thinking so what I'm not doing this for some random dickhead I'm doing it for me and I always feel good and fulfilled when I have a good session. Trust me you will regret not going because you know you should just dive in.
