Can you give me advice for losing my first 50-100Lbs, please?

I've been overweight my whole life except for high school. I've lost all that weight and become healthy during high school. 3 years later I'm 200Lbs overweight. I'd like advice for losing my first 50-100Lbs. Should I solely focus in cardio & nutrition? Or should I mix some strength training too? I've heard muscle growth can burn fat as well.
