Will this help me with fasting?
I don't add sugar or anything. Just water and coffee and I enjoy.
Is my stomach filled with coffee going to make me full?
First, and MOST IMPORTANTLY:
If yr profile age is accurate, then you are only 15 -- which means that you should be VERY cautious when it comes to things like crash-dieting and fasting.
There are plenty of safe "crash" diets for ADULTS -- and ADULTS can fast for as much as 72-96 hours without any metabolic effects at all (even longer if they're significantly overweight) -- but at 15 you are NOT yet physiologically an ADULT.
At yr age, nutritional deficiencies will take a MUCH greater toll on you than they would on a woman who's done growing.
If you've read studies about fasting diets, those studies were definitely carried out on adult subjects. (It's against medical ethics to impose restrictive diet regimens on minor children.) So, those results are NOT generalizable to adolescents.
Teenagers have different -- and more intense -- nutritional needs. The difference is most acute during the years around puberty (normally ages 11-15 for women), but in general it's risky to start thinking about adult diet plans until you've been done growing (height wise) for at least a year or so.
For most women, that means you shouldn't even CONSIDER adult diet plans until you're at least 17. Some women are on different growth timelines than others, but... 17 or 18 is a pretty good cutoff to start thinking about these things.
__
If you're talking about INTERMITTENT fasting -- in which you don't eat for PART of the day (usually the earlier part), and then you compress yr eating into the other part of the day -- then, THAT is a lifestyle modification that's *probably* safe, even for a teenager.
Is that what you're talking about? Like... not eating during the morning/afternoon, and then consuming yr daily calorie intake in the evening?
If so, then that should be a workable plan... BUT, you need to make sure that you're actually eating healthful foods during the times of day when you *are* eating.
(Far too many people look at intermittent fasting as an excuse to eat like total shit during those 8 hours or so when they actually *are* eating. If you ARE doing an intermittent fasting plan, you should try to break the fast with a healthful, low-calorie, high-fiber food -- like a large volume of green vegetables, perhaps in a soup if you aren't used to eating lots of vegetables at once -- and THEN start eating higher-calorie foods.)
That's so disgusting though. It looks nasty and if that's all your eating/drinking then I bet you feel shitty too. Take it from me, those people who do "fasts" have one thing in common. They don't succeed. If you want to lose weight then put the right things in your body. It's meant to be energy, not a sin. Rice, beans, vegetables, lean meat. Stuff like that makes you less puffy. If I eat like that for a week then my stomach looks flatter. Eat the right things, not nothing at all.
You're a skinny east African ! What would you know? I've lost weight eating air before
East Africans are always skinny dammit!
Fluids fill a gap but your body probably processes fluid quickly that is why you may get hungry quickly again - I would look at low calorie foods like salads
Coffee can make you fill full but can cause a increase in appetite
I searched online and its actually encouraged during weight loss
Yeah i heard of that before
Well I think it's working.
Honestly coffee makes me so sleepy
Yeah good luck on that working for you.

I have Americano a lot but I never thought it made me full, just for like half an hour or so and if it's iced Americano it will probably have the opposite effect and make you feel even more hungry because your body will burn more calories to digest it (because of the ice) than it contains.
When I'm fasting I usually just have a lot of tea, black tea especially, that's healthier as well.
if you want to lose weight i suggest eating healthily and healthy portions
starving yourself will just make your body think there is a starvation and that will trigger "save as much fat as possible" mode which makes you gain weight
Starvation mode was debunked lol.
Look at poor Africans !
there is a point at which even the reserve fats need to get burned, so yes, if you starve yourself for an extended period of time you will eventually lose weight
im sure thats a perfectly healthy way of getting to your target weight right
Uhh... I would think you could only fast so long off coffee
why are you fasting?
and ewww coffee with no sugar or milk
I want to lose weight fast in 3 weeks which can happen! I checked.
But I need a substitute
the best thing to help you with fasting is to find something constructive to do because it'll take your mind off the hunger.
Like what?
fasting is only hurting your body more. not helping it
you tend to troll anyway
I'm not trolling
ya, you're trolling
OK then believe what you want
I've seen some of your answers, you've even admitted to being on here just for the points
Lol what really?
I think I was joking.
I go on here for answers.
Questions take away Xper? right
no, you said you're on here for the points
Do I look like I got time for points?
yes, you do. you post shit like this, just to get points
You don't get points by posting shit
you get points for posting anything, even shit like this
I just need answers
i dont care, you're hurting your body more than helping it. im not going to help you hurt your body, thats insane
no dude, it's not helping to fast, it's going to hurt her more. it's an unsafe way of losing weight
i think she knows that too. she's just doing this to piss people off
Why would this piss people off?
cause you tend to
@redeyemindtricks here's one for ya
Why tag her?
Responded, thanks.
@Prettyapathetic, I make my living doing health/fitness/dieting/performance related stuff.
