In highschool, when a matured girl thinks you're immatured, do you still have a chance?

So I know a girl very well at the beginning of the year but when I was about to become her good friend I think I acted too immature in class with my guy friends (health class and we comment on sex). I think she's uncomfortable and have been avoiding me this past 2 weeks. How do I show her that I care? What's a specific sentence that has proven to be successful for apologizing to girls?

Just say: Hey (Casey or whatever her name is), I wanted to apologize for making you feel uncomfortable in health class a while ago. I was being immature and I hope that wasn't the reason why we stopped hanging out. Is there any way we can come to a consensus? I really value your friendship so please understand, I was acting dumb.

There is no magical sentance that will make it all better. For the record, an immature guy is a huge turn off, (for me at least). I don't mind if he's funny sometime, but I need to know that he can be serious also. If I thought some guy was completely immature, I wouldn't date him.
