Where do I meet and how do I approach and talk to women?

This is embarrassing but I need some advice because I don't know what else to do. I'm a 25 year old virgin. I'm also a christian. Now you're probably thinking that's why I'm a virgin. It's not, well not consciously anyway. I live on my own, earn a decent living, keep fit but I have no confidence whatsoever when it comes to meeting women. Only a couple of people know this. My best friend is sick of hearing about it and will not help me. For example I was at a party just the other night . There were lots of nice young women I didn't know but I couldn't bring myself to go and talk to any of them. Everytime a social occasion comes along (which I'm afraid isn't very often) I tell myself that I'll have no problem in talking to a girl. But when the time comes something inside stops me. I get very self-conscious, embarrassed and just back away. Please help me as it's becoming very difficult to handle and I'm getting depressed about it more and more often.

There are many things you can do with regards to meeting women. For starters, make friends with them without any sexual intensions. Find a few nonattractive women to make friends and talk with. You will gradually learn that we are just like you (we have the same issues and unwillingness to get hurt) and not vaginas dentatas who will rip your manhood away. Currently the one who is ripping your manhood away and cutting your wings is yourself.

Secondly, you could go to therapy to treat your selfesteem issues and go to acting classes so that when you feel very nervous and vulnerable you won't show it.

Thirdly you could go to pick-up school or read a book by a pickup artist called "The Mystery Method". This book teaches you at least how to get laid by turning on a womans sexual bottons but honestly speaking you probably need a really good therapist so that you have a chance of forming a loving relationship with someone before the 40 year crisis hits in.
