I don’t have Covid, but have a cold, will I still be able to fly home?

I went on a trip across the Atlantic with family, and we have 5 more days here (have been here for a week already).

My mum and I have seem to caught a really bad cold, and haven’t been able to shake it. I took two Covid tests, one ‘at home’ test, and one yesterday at the doctor and they said that I don’t have Covid and have all the symptoms of a cold.
I am a bit worried because i don’t know If they will let me on the plane home, as I have a bad cough. And it’s too expensive to stay here longer. :-/

Is there anything I can do to really mitigate this cough over the next week?

I wouldn't worry about it, it will probably go away until your flight. Even if it doesn't, just do a covid test (at the doctors) before your flight to show them.

they can't refuse you access to a flight if you have a negative test.
