Is it possible to lose 6kgs in a month without exercising?

Anonymous
So here’s the thing, I’ve been wanting to lose weight for some time but i despise the gym so i decided to take a step at a time and give a month to “adjust” to a healthier lifestyle before going to the gym as i feared I’d lose commitment if i had to change so much at once, meaning I cut off sugar big time, cut snacks, cut junk food completely, stopped eating after 6, started cooking homemade meals (that includes a total of 3 things in total as unfortunately i suck at cooking but i tried my best to mix it up each time), started drinking 2.5L+ water daily, started walking at a moderate pace 40mins daily (which i know is not too much but its better than only 5 min to the local grocery store).

Today I decided that im ready to hit the gym and when i measured my weight i had lost 6kgs? I mean, now that im writing all the things I’ve been doing, it kinda makes sense but it still was BEYOND my expectations, I literally asked the person at the gym: you sure this is accurate?😬
It still feels unreal as I was expecting a weight loss around 2-3kgs but 6 was not even on my wildest dreams. Is that possible? Or could it be that the scale i measured myself a month ago was faulty or some shit I don't know lol im still in denial.
