I think no one should be made fun of but what people think and judge about people (silently!) is completely fair game. There are ways to fix obesity and become healthy but none happen overnight. The most important part is that the person has the motivation to see it through to the end. I have a friend who always was a little thicker but not enough to be called chubby. She was about a size 5 in pants and curvier, like she didn't have a flat stomach. She went from vegetarian to vegan a few months ago and trained for and ran a half marathon. She lost all her extra fat and is very thin and even more attractive now. If I had to guess she would be about a size 2 or smaller in pants now, I don't know because I haven't seen her tags. Now she is training to run a full marathon soon, her motivation doesn't stop there
On a less extreme scale, I went vegetarian in a last attempt to lose a little weight and have more energy. It worked just as I wanted it to. I went from my highest weight of 105 lbs back to 97 lbs in just a week. I have been veggie for months now and have kept my weight the same, give or take 2 lbs or so of water weight. Basically, you have to be willing to make some sacrifices to get the results you want. What motivated me was comparing my weight and measurements to my favorite models who are my height as well. They motivate me to keep working at being thin. My overall goal is to stay doll-like because I am only 5'0. Because I'm so short any weight I gain shows up really noticeably and quickly.
My guilty pleasure is to go into stores and try on clothes that end up being too big. I'm especially happy when I try on zeros that end up being big because those are usually my size. Lookin in the mirror with my larger pants makes me imagine what my body would look like if I filled them out properly. Then I smooth and gather the pants to fit me as I am and it gives me the best confidence boost. I recommend that people do that with their pants as they slim down and buy new, smaller sizes.
Overall, any image you put out into the world will be judged by the people who see you. Still, no one needs to be cruel about it. Sadly people still do, hence things like "whaling" etc

Excuse me? I'm fat and I don't deserve to be mistreated by others simply because they don't like my size. I don't tolerate disrespect at all who cares if I'm fat? You don't have to like it WTF is that? You might as well say it's OK to be rude to anyone you don't find attractive simply because they aren't attractive. The reason WHY I'm fat has no bearing on someone being disrespectful to me...as far as fat people complaining about being fat, everybody complains but if it's all the time, then yeah that person should try to lose lbs
It's easier to be negative when faced with something you don't like. However, if you keep a positive attitude, even if you're overweight, you learn to accept it (somewhat) as you try to cope with your flaws, no different than anyone who doesn't like their finger size, nose, teeth or hair color.
It's not easy to lose weight, and it sure seems easier to gain it.
I am an overweight person and it is sure difficult to lose the weight. However, I, yes I, got myself into my condition and it is going to take a while to lose the weight. I used to complain about it, but then I realized it's not fair to complain when others cannot change it.
I joke saying that if thinking could help you lose weight, I'd look anorexic, but, *sigh*, alas pure mind power does nothing to dissolve fat, so I guess I'll have to sweat it off. :D
Having been formerly obese, I'd say it's fair for them to vent their frustrations occasionally. Obesity doesn't go away overnight, it takes a lot of hard work to change your lifestyle. Gazing at this uphill battle can be a legitimate cause of frustration.
However, if they are cursing others and making excuses (like genetics caused them to be obese) then it's just irrational and annoying. There are plenty of opportunities and choices one can make from a minute to minute basis to avoid being obese. Some have to work harder than others, that's just life.
A lot of obese people I've spoken to really have no desire or work ethic. They try to take shortcuts by doing light exercises here and there, then eating cheesecake and hamburgers afterward. To me, that's annoying because they are wasting both my time and theirs.
It is fair to complain about treatment from other people, but people that are fat shouldn't complain about being fat.

Rarely is obesity caused by a medical condition. It's a combination of lifestyle and laziness.
If someone fat complains about how society treats them they should prove society wrong and instead of being lazy and just moaning at the unfairness of life, they should go and lose weight, or just take it on the chins (yes, I meant a plural).Nope. You reap what you sow. Not everyone can be skinny, but everyone can be of a healthy weight.
Only if they're talking about how tough and tiring their workout is. If they don't do anything about it, then it's kind of silly to sit about to complain about it.
Well, if pretty people who show too much skin get to complain about getting hit on by creepy people, then fat people should be allowed to complain about being fat. I'd really rather see both parties do something about it if it upsets them so much.
No one should complain about anything. There is no point , it doesn't help change anything. I think people should just do whatever it is they feel they should and get on with life.
The same way it is unfair for girls who are anorexic to complain about being too fat...it is just wrong!
no. they should do something about their weight if they don't like the way they look. Though it's not fair for other people to treat them differently because of their weight.
Honestly, no. They shouldn't complain. If they eat to much and made themselves that way, then they have no right to complain.
If no one treated them badly and accepted them as normal human beings then obesity would be even more on the rise. Just sayin not trying to be a d***head
No, unless it's some kind of health condition, they should be doing something to rectify it.
