Is this normal for first time consistently going to gym?

Anonymous

I have been doing orange theory for a month before I got injured at work. I went from 341 down to 329 during the first month and I also changed up my diet and added more veggies. I also changed my serving size. But I watched my 600 pound life and those people lose like 40 pounds in a month. Since I’m half of that size shouldn’t I lose 20 pounds in a month?

the only thing change really was my clothes are looser on me and my stamina increase by a lot. I can walk up flights of stairs without getting winded. 10 years ago I was in shape. So working out is not new to me but having to start over and start slow is the hard part for me because I’m stubborn. I participated in lift 45 and the 60 mins classes.

Do you agree during my first month I should of lost like 20 pounds? Also the scale says I lost weight but I don’t see it when I look in the mirror. Is that normal?

I also cook my own food and vegetables. I have a great support system from my friends because I’m the only fat friend in the group of healthy people so when I started to change my life around they jumped on the opportunity to help. I been more energetic and it’s addicting to workout. It feels like a drug. I feel happy to workout.

The gym environment I thought would be negative because I’m fat but not all support and love.
