Why do doctors think pills are the cure for eveything?

So I kind of yelled at my doctor. I've been very depressed and my doctor keeps pushing depressed pills on me. I stopped taking the pills after 5 month because they made me feel even worse like a walking zombie. He keeps saying, "I am only depressed because i stop taking pills. I made it very clear to him that I won't take any more pills, and the things that I've been though can't be fixed with pills only time will make things better. I lose two kids and my wife. I truly feel like ending my life every day. i straight up told people that if I had a gun, I'd end my life.

I been slowly trying to improve my life with actions which has been helping but having pills push on me 247 is getting old.

It doesn't matter what type of doctor you go to, they all pass out antidepressants like they're M&M candies.
It's very seldom that a doctor doesn't push antidepressants on their patients. Even when I have a serious physical illness my general doctor wants me to take them be the says they will help with my illness. What a crock of crap.

I don't blame you for feeling the way you do. That's a ton of pain.

My first two kids My ex girlfriend parents killed them then my ex girlfriend ended up leaving me 4 years later on my birth and put our daughter up for adoption

Seriously though, I don't honestly know what those fake doctors are thinking. Giving people pills, you are sick because you stopped taking them? How crazy. For them to be lacking such normal common sense is shamefull. We are all not perfect, but still.

Doctors take the easy way and in some cases they make money when they prescribe drugs. Pills will not fix your life. Depression can be caused when you are out of the loop of control of your life. Get some control over your life and you will feel better about your life.

Because you’re going to a standard doctor for a mental health problem. That’s not their specialty. All they can do is give you pills. If you want actual help, then you should be seeing a mental health doctor, like a psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist etc.

well, because they get paid if they can sell you pills. they only think logically. like "oh, in pain? take this pill so the pain will go away". pills are only a bandaid. gotta dive in deep and do the mental work in order to actually heal.

If you're a Christian, pray. Listen to YouTube prayers. They are quite helpful. I had depression and now it's gone. God healed me :)
