Anyone who has had lingual braces?

Anyone of you GAG members who have had Lingual braces?are there any complications after getting them?

Like I have heard it takes more time to get the teeth right+ speech problems + lot of cuts on gums and tongue?

is it true?

I am 23 and want to get braces.There is no way I want to get the normal braces or Invisalign or ceramic braces as they are visible :(

Lingual braces are invisible completely as they are adjusted at the back of the teeth

Are they worth it?

Money is no issue for me.Besides my teeth structure is bad,so Its gonna take some time for setting them correctly.Hence I want to go for lingual braces

So,I want guys/girls who have had them to pour down their experiences with lingual braces.

Lingual Braces: the disadvantages

The only significant disadvantage with Lingual Braces, compared to some other orthodontic treatments, is that they can be more uncomfortable for some people. Because the brace attaches to the back of the teeth, some patients require a longer period of adjustment during which time they can discover difficulties in cleaning their teeth, chewing, swallowing and talking.

Your dentist may also be able to recommend a different brushing techniqe which helps to clear the food away from around your brace.
