Is it hard for you to admit that you're sick?

I have some sort of cold or something.. THERE, I SAID IT.

I don't know why, but I have an incredibly hard time admitting to myself that I'm sick. I'll come up with any excuse to continue my day "normally," even if it means feeling sick all day.

Last night I stayed up all night fighting a fever and catching massive amounts of snot (I know, I'm just so hot right now :P) yet I woke up this morning and went right back to business.

so here I am, on my one hour break and you know what I just did? I accidentally took two birth control pills thinking I forgot to take my pill today when it CLEARLY is missing Monday.

I've know a number of girls that do that. They're like I'm not sick, it's just a head cold. I think to myself, you just admitted you are infected with a virus but you say you are not sick in the same sentence. It's irrational foolishness. When I get sick, I know I'm sick, I admit it, and I basically quarantine myself until I've recovered so I don't get others sick as well. I say if you will not admit it you deserve no sympathy. If you admit it, I'll buy you a bowl of chicken noodle soup and some juice and tell you to get some bed rest. =)

Yes. When other people know I'm sick, they make me go through a whole bunch of rigmarole. I'd rather avoid that. Luckily I rarely ever get sick.

SAME! everyone else always complains about and is extremenly open about it when they have colds like the whole world has to know, but I'm the opposite I can't even admit it to myself..

Maybe you correlated being sick with being vulnerable or weak.

maybe. thinking about it, I just don't like missing class or work :(
