Sore doesn't mean you didn't get a work out, it just means that your muscles didn't get all torn up with the work out.
That muscle soreness is caused by micro tears that happen when the muscle is forced to do something it hasn't done before. Within 48 hours, white blood cells go into the muscle cells and clean up that mess you just made. In turn, the muscle cells swell, pressing against the nerves. Viola, muscle soreness.
That said, if you're not sore, it means the muscles are adapting to what you're doing, which isn't bad. If anything, the muscles are gaining mass to take on the workload you're giving them. Sore doesn't always mean "good" anyway. "No pain no gain" is seriously outdated and wrong to an extent.

you shouldn't hurt. it doesn't mean you wasted your time. the best workouts will leave you feeling burnt out and wiped after but not hurting hours later.
i love it too because I usually see results right away after a few days. you only get really sore when you haven't worked out in a while or you work out a new group of muscles in a new way. you didn't waste your time if you're not sore though.
Well I m kinda used to of work out so I m used to of sore too, but when I don't go gym so that day I feel kinda mentally sad and if I don't go gym for a week so that make me so sad.
