I don't know how to talk to guys

There are only a few things I've said to him but I've known him a long time. Yes, he's a guy and I really like him. He's smart and cute, but I'm not the best chatter box around the guys. Sure I've talked to five guys, but that's because they're my friends. I don't know how to flirt but, I really want to talk with this one guy. Any suggestions on getting him to talk with me?

Find common interests like sports or the latest news. Make a comment about the last game or ask a question to see what his opinion is. See a newly released movie and ask him if he's seen it. Point being - pick a topic that will interest him a little and open your conversation with that. It'll probably take a few times before your comments really turn into a conversation but every little bit helps you get more comfortable. No matter what, have confidence!
