You don't have to lose weight to get a prom date, but you probably should try to lose some, just to take some stress off your heart. Since you can't get your heart rate up, maybe you can try small things, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and parking far away from the store so you have to walk? I don't know if that'd be too much.
I guess your best bet is to try to adjust your diet. I don't know what your current diet is, but here are a few general pointers. If you eat fast food often, then cut it out to once a week, reduce the sugar in your diet and add protein to keep you fuller longer, have a healthy snack between meals (my favorites are Wheat Thins with Laughing Cow cheese spread, and a piece of bread with peanut butter), and drink water instead of sodas. Remember not to deprive yourself of your favorite foods; just have them less often.
If you're really feeling urgent, you can buy one of those diet pills (you can find them in the pharmacy section at Wal Mart probably). I did that once and just a warning: I took only half the recommended dosage, and it made me nauseous and greatly reduced my appetite. I probably would have lost weight if I kept taking it, but I was feeling so bad I decided not to.
You want to keep the focus on getting healthy, not getting skinny. I'm sure you're a beautiful girl, but as a former nursing student, I am worried about your weight affecting your heart. A friend of mine is obese and when she gave birth to her second child, the stress was too much for her heart and it started to fail. I'd hate for something like that to happen to you in the future. You're obese. Your breasts don't weigh 20 pounds either. The average breast weighs one pound, so your breasts together *might* weigh 4. You say you can't workout, so at least change your eating habits or you will be on for a life of obesity and health issues, not to mention an early grave

Doesnt mean you don't own it well and look good, but yes that is overweight. And having a heart condition is all the more reason to lose weight, I have one to, so I know what' its like to not be able to work out, but I can still do cardio and eat healthy. You still can eat healthy and some exercise I'm sure.

I would try and lose weight. You are overweight for sure. Just simple walking and keeping a food diary can really help. You are beautiful! You can still be happy with yourself. Just keep in mind your health will improve dramatically if you lose weight.
You are like borderline obese. I say lose the weight but not because of your guy friends... but because of your health.
I'm the same weight but 6'1 tall and a guy. So I say yes.
