I need to build my muscle tone back up, but all the gyms in my area are out of my budget range - especially when you take the contract part into consideration.
What are some other good options?
I got a whole bench press set at Walmart for around $60. I think the brand is cap barbell.
It came with a bar and 100 lbs of weights. It's basically a jr. bench but it works for me, all I did was buy a new solid bar and more weights and I can now bench press, squat, over head press, and deadlift. I also got a pull up bar that attaches to my closet so I can do pull ups there.
Pull up bar - Pull ups and chin ups. These are great for the back.
Push ups, hand stand push ups on a wall. Behind the back dips on a low table or bench.
Burpees, box jumps, squats, sprinting.
Oh there's a ton you can do! Just look on google. I know that isn't helpful but it's what I do. You will need some weights, an exercise ball. Your body is actually a perfect tool! Just look up videos to see what you like.
Currently I use an exercise ball for my abs and weights for my arms, and I use a stationary bike with medium resistance for legs as well as cardio.
Yup P90X so I just have , weights, pull up bar , a stool and a mat

If you can afford it I'd suggest the book 'never gymless' by Ross enamait. Really covers using primarily body weight exercises for strength not just for endurance.
P90x seems okay but I think it's pretty light weight stuff. I'd get some dumbbells and benches personally if you have the room.
