I actually am planning a wedding for April, 2024. The music is
String quartet playing Bach and Handel as the guests arrive
Choir sings
During service, choir sings
I sing
During communion, choir sings
For the recessional, the choir sings
And at the reception, a friend and I sing
Congrats!😍
Thanks! My fiancee is Chinese and knows nothing about American weddings (and that's what she wants) so I am doing all the planning. So far, we have the date, church, pastor, choir, string quartet, wedding dress, tux rented, reception venue, guest list, and wedding program completed.
Wow that is a lot of things already planned!
I didn't even know there where so much to plan lol 👀
Much more to be done, but I have nine months left.
Wow! A string quartet, even! :- )
Yes, there IS a lot to plan. Even 40+ years ago when I was married, there was a lot, and that's before all the falderal of videos, streaming, and social media of weddings now-a-days. Our dinners were $10 a plate in a venue that was still under construction, that's how full places were booked! Signed our contract in the Mobile Office of the Construction Company!
Thanks for MHO!
😊👍🏻
Lili Marleen
Dein ist mein ganzes herz (You are my heart's delight)
Heut' ist der schönste tag in meinem leben (Today is the most beautiful day of my life)
Hope for Me Yet- Marc Broussard
Heavenly Day-Patty Griffin
Maroon 5-Sugar
Ed Sheeran-Thinking out Loud
Me and my boyfriend already danced to thinking out loud which was so romantic and beautiful. I could see that being our first song.
Yeah I love that song and video but I'm not a big fan of their other songs besides she will be loved
Dancing to that song is so romantic😍🫠!
Yes it is!
We are engaged and hopefully will be planning our wedding next year for 2025. We have a few song ideas, upto now we have….
Monica - Angel of mine. (Samantha Harvey cover.)
Shania Twain - From this moment. (Samantha Harvey cover)
Ed Sheeran - Perfect & Thinking out loud.
Tina Turner - Simply the best.
Avicii & Sebastien drums - My feelings for you.
Congratulation on the engagement!😍 Nice songs!🤗
Thats beautiful! And on the beach too😍😌👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I danced to Brad Paisley - She's Everything...
I also recommend Tina Turner's rendition of Simply The Best...
And this most excellent song from a most triumphant movie, a most bodacious song called In Time by Robbie Robb from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure...
I'm not you in planning to get married at least on paper but wedding would be fine i guess. The 90s boybands and early 2000s have the best RnB ballad songs.

And this song Bruno Mars captured those vibes really well

I hate how the phone automatically puts space after the dots when sending links. Ill try to do it again in my PC
I think I'll manage. I'll check it after work! Thank you😃👍🏻
It's those oldschool synths and the harmony I'm after! Specially that electric pianos used which is what I'd like to use a lot when writing music
In my first sentence, there's a big type there.
*I'm not really planning to get married
😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Do you know/understand the words to Fast Car?
It's about a girl who got caught up in a cycle of living with an alcoholic. Her father is an alcoholic and her mother leaves him and she is stuck taking care of him - then she meets this guy with a fast car and "escapes" with him to start a new life - but as so often happens, the guy with the fast car is himself an alcoholic, and she finds herself right back where she was: caring for an alcoholic who spends his time out drinking. It's not really an uplifting song, despite it's social relevance - it's more of a cautionary tale.
You have 2 great choices. The Tracy Chapman album was the last vinyl album that I ever bought.
I played this at my wedding.
Wow! Thats nice!😍👀
Waltz in A Minor, Chopin
https://www.youtube.com/embed/HtQRpmaaiCoAll the songs on this (its mostly Chopin's)
Gnossienne, Erik Satie
I also want to say A&W by Lana Del Rey but its probably not appropriate for a wedding lol
If I were to be lucky enough to get married, I would definitely have Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, Lucky by Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz, I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz, Nothing Without Love by Nate Ruess, Perfect by Ed Sheeran, Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, Soos Bloed by Theuns Jordaan, and A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Nice songs!😍👍🏻
I could go on forever, many genres, my favorites 50's era. Unfortunately I can't paste more than 2 on this stupid phone:/

I like this one too.

I don't want to get married. So if I did, it would be because I was forced. Then at that point, I would at least wanna make the experience kinda funny. So maybe this one:
dont know if i actually want to get married but, you never know-
I really hope I will not have a future wedding... I am already married and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.
On our wedding, my wife choose the music.
Cool! Any song you remember?
Oh cool! Thank you for sharing:)
I won't ever have a wedding, even if by some miracle, a girl agreed to marry me and followed through, we'd just go to the courthouse, I'll never be able to afford a wedding and I hate people, so I wouldn't want anyone to come, anyways
I get what you mean. My mind is your cousin.. can't expain it better than that😂
Lol I was like you and kinda still is in a way. I hate humans but have love for them at the same time

Granted I don't want to get married, or have kids, but, this is just me being funny
For Church Service
I could choose many more.
For the Reception
Not really a romantic songs, but I want to dance my heart out alongside everyone involved.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/kS6EvSjAJZIIf my best GAG friend, Chef Culo, ever finds a girl fat and ugly and insane enough to marry him, I have the perfect song for him as he enters the room. I Am The Walrus, by The Beatles. It is already bringing a tear to my eye.
The ceremony would have to be near a body of water. He would have to keep his skin moist.
@Wallythewalrus I'll help him find a place with a hookup for a hose. That way if he starts to dry out and gets overheated, I can spray him down. See? Problem solved.
When you're with me by the afters (first dance)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/qLflZn0pCGoAnd swimming by Hans Zimmer from my favorite movie (when I walk down the aisle)
https://www.youtube.com/embed/JhWE53o6S7kProbably this. Though it would be after they've buried everyone else.
Actually I didn't think about that before... But I think I'll play "How Long will I love you"
Pick songs that mean something to you two as a couple. Fck the audience, or how popular the songs. Make it mean something and it’ll stay in your mind.
We picked a love song from our first movie we saw together. “Do you feel me?” Was the title.
