Girls, do most of you need to make sure a guy is serious about marriage before getting into a serious relationship with them?

Some women expressed how they wouldn't want to propose to their guy because they want to know if they are serious about marriage. so they want the guy to do it. Sooo it makes me wonder if women even communicate they want marriage at some point before getting serious with the guy? Seems like important info to know before being heavily emotionally invested in him right?

You might try it this way "what are your views on marriage?" and hear his most honest unfiltered thoughts about it before proceeding any further.

No i just assume he will want this otherwise i don't see the point in even dating in the first place much less getting into a serious relationship

I make sure even to know his views on marriage before the first date

I wait until 6 months to a year (or longer) in the relationship to even breach the topic.

I don't even mention it until HE brings it up first

As you probably know I've never been in a relationship. However, if I was dating someone I wouldn't care about marriage. I mean, if he wanted to get married and I also wanted, fine. If not, it wouldn't be a big deal and I wouldn't break up because of it.

That's a really good idea you suggest. I tend to have mixed feelings about wanting to get married though, so that's why I'm a bit hesitant to ask too soon in the dating process. The reason is that, even if he doesn't want to get married, it might still be useful to date him to get a better idea of what I want in a man, such as personality traits, etc. So just because he's not marriage material doesn't mean that going out with him is a complete waste of time, as long as you give it a few months tops, or suggest eventually the idea that you date other people at the same time (which allows him the opportunity to leave and then you don't have to feel bad about leading him on for two months).

i would just ask the question in the first of second week on dating. if they say its to early to rely i would take it as a no and just leave it.

Most girls don't. If the guy is hot, they f**k first hoping to snare the guy. That seldom is successful because she is one of several, and she is not good enough for a serious relationship.
