Is wanting to date and marry only people with white skin considered racist?

Are you sexist because you prefer dating men? Modern day "racism" is nonsense. Along with most other redefined -isms. Racism, as it's traditionally and properly defined, is a dislike for another racial group and/or a belief that another race is inferior to you or your race. If you're not disqualifying non-white people because you hate them, their race, or think you're better than them, then it's not racism. It's a preference. There's nothing wrong with it. I'd say the same thing to someone who only dates black people, Asian people, latinos, whatever. Preferences are perfectly fine. We all have them.

The reason why we say it's racist is because if you can't see people for what they are then there's a problem, we are all of the same species, it's not like certain races are a different species a woman is a woman and a man is a man no matter what their race is. If you find someone you like who is compatible with you their race definitely should not matter at all.

Sexuality that's a different concept you can argue the fact that you are straight because of religious reasons, or you can say you are straight because of your biology but so far though I know no religion that encourages people to only date and marry people from their own race... even science agrees that people can be straight and it agrees that everyone is from the same species and has ancestors from Africa despite their race... Also imagine being sure that you're perfect match is white what if they are a different race you wouldn't even know cause you're not dating a woman or a man you're dating a race.

Preferences are not based on race they are based on things like common values, how frequently the person works out, interests, the person's gender, things like that etc. If race is a preference for you that sounds like race fetishizing or racism.

Yes it's racist, preferences should not be based on race they should be based on common interests, values, beliefs things like that, once you start basing your preferences on race it's racist.

At the end of the day we are all of the same species no matter what our race is, so if you find someone you like who is not white and you don't date that person because they are white that's racism.

I think if people want love they need to stop ruling people out based on race, your perfect match may not be white and there you are only dating white people, if your argument is "oh but I'm only attracted to white people" you're lying because you haven't met every person in the world or in your country or state who isn't white to be able to ascertain that you are only attracted to white people and not other races.

If you have some actual personal reason that you want to marry within your race, like your family is racist so you know if you marry someone of a different race your spouse will be treated badly by your family, then maybe that's not racist (but I would wonder why you are okay with your family being racist).

You may be personally more attracted to certain skin tones, and that's whatever. Nobody cares. But to say all races are ugly except your own, obviously you can see how that's racist, right? And if you go around saying people are unattractive and undateable because of their race, obviously you can see how that can hurt people, right? It's pretty straightforward.

According to you it's not hurting anyone but that's not what the asker asked she asked if it's racist. It can be racist but it depends on the persons reasons for only dating and marrying white people. Some reasons have some underlying racist ideologies that they may not even be aware of but usually people who aren't racist are not picky about race, because at the end of the day we are all from the same species and we are all of African decent. look up the research on how everyone's mitochondria shows that they have African ancestry.
