Actually last I looked in most of the world (including the US) there are no laws specifically stating that cannibalism is illegal. Cannibals are usually charged with murder but if someone willingly gives you part of their body to eat and you eat it you are not doing anything wrong.

Technically yes, it is cannibalism. Cannibalism doesn't only apply to humans, other animals and especially insects/arachnids can be cannibals too.
