Whats it mean if she doesn't want to talk on the phone, just text?

i've been talking to her for 2 weeks now and every time I try and attempt to call and have a conversation she has some kind of reason why she can't talk. She is always texting me though 8 or more hours every day. What do yall think this means?

I feel you man, my girl is the same way. We talk on the phone once a week but she texts me all day everyday. She says she is busy and doesn't like talking to me in front of other people and distractions. I understand this but... part of my mind is saying you are just not making enough time for me. I miss her voice and want to be more a part of her life, she even brought up us getting married, but the way I feel neglected. Texting in my opinion isn't good enough to get to really know the person, I'm not saying talking on the phone is, but its better than texting. I think maybe I am more in a hurry to deepen this relationship than she is, and I just have to decide am I OK with that. I don't want think that this is a security issues because I trust her, I really do, and I know that this is just the way she is. It sucks to want to try to change someone because you know it never works. Yea any suggestions on how to get her to want to talk actually talk on the phone more (without being dishonest or tricking or manipulative) would be great :)

I feel you man. My girl is the same way. I've been trying more and more lately to talk on the phone with her, but she still prefers to either text or talk online.

A lot of people don't like talking on the phone because you have more time to think about what you are going to say. Maybe she really likes you and she's scared to talk on the phone because she won't have as much time to think about what she will say and she's scared she'll f*** something up. I don't know, it's different for everyone but maybe ask her why she never talks on the phone?

it's so much less awkward to text than it is to talk on the phone...if you call make sure there is enough to talk about so it isn't awkward, and after that she won't be nervous to talk over the phone with you!

Over texting there are no awkward silences or anything.
