Personally, I wouldn't say that's the case. Most of my questions barely get any answers at all and people don't seem quite supportive/empathetic, when you're asking for advice on personal subjects with a few exceptions..

There is also a certain tone you have to adopt when framing questions and at times deviating from that language, even in earnest, will get you trapped in a negativity/backlash cycle.

I think 99% of the opinions on here are ignorant. They aren't expert opinions nor well developed opinions and so that's why. I also think the culture of this site is negative. The word that best describes it is: Generalization. People also have been subjected to being treated mean and so they expect it now and have their guard up over anything.

Some advice has been helpful. Others, not so much. That's what makes G@G interesting... reviewing the opinions of others and deciding which ones make sense.

Overall but it sometimes feel as if I am walking on egg shells when asking about the opposite gender. As if my question was meant to speak ill of the ladies.

Yes it’s been helpful. But I’ve learned more from one on one private conversations than on public questions. So you think some people hold back how they feel on the public questions?

I think it's mostly just for fun. I really hate when someone posts a question needing genuine help and people ignore it, especially when the questioner took the time to write a detailed story.
