Would you get a new phone or a professional camera?

I have Samsung A12.

I went on vacation recently to different parts of Europe and was really disappointed with the camera quality.

I know it's a cheap phone.

The sea was blue, when I took the photos it turned out grey.

I know the iPhone 15 is coming out soon.

I'm not sure if I should wait for that or get a professional camera. Most of the cameras now are around the same price as an iPhone.

Or should I get the iPhone 14?

Can anyone recommend a good camera to compare?

This depends how often you are going to take photos and what you are using them for.

If you just do a quick shot here and there and sent them to friends and family and post them on social media a phone is usually enough, espacially since most phones now have AI support to compensate for most shortcomings.

If you want your photos printed and displayed on a wall, or if you want to take special photos, wildlife, stars, macro,... you need a camera and lenses to switch out. Cannon Eos is a good series, Sony Alpha is a good series, but check the internet which camera has the best bang for the buck.

Also consider the extra weight you have to carry around when you decide to go for a camera.

I would suggest Samsung galaxy 22 Ultra. It's better than iPhone camera.

If I was use I wouldn't go for just a camera when you have a good phone. Who wants to carry a camera yk.

I personally bought the iPhone 13 Pro for the camera lol. I’m not so into photography to carry around a bulky camera, at least not the camera I want, I’ve gotten so many gorgeous photos with the portrait mode and cinematic videos then screen shotting the part of the clip I want in photo.
