Is it normal to cry tears of joy like my girlfriend and I did?

My girlfriend and I were on Skype chat and it was late and we started talking over a soft topic of hers because she had been called a slut by everyone and she's very nervous about the whole situation at school with everyone making fun of her for the past, and so I wrote paragraphs of really loving and nice things that you only find in love, and she just started tearing up and crying and we shifted away from the slut topic because we were so occupied in eachothers loving company and so we just started crying together on Skype chat! Is that weird, or is that normal? We are eachothers first love and proper relationship and I thoughroughly enjoyed the whole experience it just made us so close and really happy to be together... possibly can anyone share similar experiences...

I think that is really sweet. Once I texted my crush for 5 hours straight in the middle of the night talking about soft topics like bullying, rejections, and about the kind of people we are in love with. And then we found out we both like each other. I told him about this story where my first love broke my heart, and he told me he would never do so.
When I saw your question, that experience was what popped into my head. You are perfectly normal and in fact it's better and above average!! Your girlfriend is really lucky!!

Awwwwwwww that is soooo cute! Its like the perfect love and totally normal! Its adorable! Well i dont get to meet my boyfriend much. So once he travelled 7 hours in the train, standing the whole time coz he didn't get a seat, it was too crowded. He came all the way just to see me :)
