Why are most guys intimidated by virginity?

Most guys that I have dated have been intimidated about the fact that I am still a virgin; not that there is anything wrong with being a virgin., but I hate being second guessed because of it.

On the contrary. When I was a virgin, it was suddenly peaking everyone's interest. I could see a guy's interest level in me shoot up when he heard it, and suddenly our conversations were geared toward sex and "my first time." It took forever to find a man who saw me as a person and, while he respected my decision to wait until that point, wouldn't have cared if I'd been a virgin or not. But find him I did.

Well I was 20 1/2 when I lost it, so in my mind, yes it took a while lol particularly because I was actively dating and they all turned out the same. More promiscuous guys and less promiscuous guys alike would light up when I told them, and I felt like a trophy made to stroke their ego.

I finally did find him when I wasn't looking, and I remember when I told him he respected it but said it wouldn't have mattered to him anyway. I think I said something like, "What if I'd slept with 15 people," and he just laughed and said, "Babe I love you. If that's what it took to make you the girl I love right now, then it's none of my business."

Andddd I lost my virginity to him maybe a few nights later hahah I know not everyone feels the same way about that stuff that I do, but it's always been super important that a guy love me for what I consider the "right reasons."

did you tell them right away or did you wait? I usually told the guys after the first or second date to let the know where I stood.

I told him right away, but that was because we'd gotten into a heavy make out session and he started to push it further, so I had to let him know. I don't think it's necessary to tell guys that soon though. I would've waited longer had I not been in that position. It'll give a guy a chance to get to know you instead of linking your identity with your virginity.

A lot of guys nowadays only go for sluts because all they care about is sex. A decent guy would find it attractive and be more likely to pursue you because of that. So don't let the promiscuous people shame you for it. They just resent us virgins because we remind them of how impure they are.
