Guys, why is my boyfriend suddenly so affectionate?

My bf of 4 years has suddenly became more affectionate. Quick backstory: We have a kid together, he use to lie all the time and talk down to me, he cheated we broke up, then we decided to work things out. He's been good ever since and has been trying to make up for all the wrong he's done. He still occasionally apologizes for everything. However, I find it odd that he's so affectionate all of a sudden. I don't know if he's genuinely being affectionate or if he's cheating again? I don't know what to think.

Well what I am about to say is just my opinion, cheaters will most of the times always be cheaters. I understand that you had a kid with him, but if he cheated on you then you should of just moved on. I say that he is cheating on you again, and is feeling guilty about it... or there is always the possibility that he woke up one day and realized that you are the second best thing that happened in his life (First being the birth of his child) and wants to make sure that you know how he truly feels.
