I am kinda sitting here trying not to be that crazy wife but... but OMG my dude just came home from work (he does landscaping) and he sat on the couch next to me and we were cuddling and I saw something twinkle on his face and I said hold on a minute you got something on your face... and my heart just dropped... a piece of red glitter like a little flake like really tiny... im thinking... hmmm what could that be from? I do have lots of different makeups but none currently on, im a clean freak so everything here is clean from glitter... none of the kids toys have red glitter... so i said in a funny way... hmmm where could this have come from? And he said omg dont even go there dont be a douche bag... and now he's all pissed off...

My job involves installing stuff (typically speakers or cameras or WiFi access points) on the outside of people's homes. You have no idea how much crap I can be covered with that come from the yards and plants I have to work around.

One of my customers recently had a Mardi Gras party (and flew in a jazz band from New Orleans to play for it, because he can), and one of their trees is covered with Mardi Gras beads - hundreds of strings. One day I came home with little bits of silly string (the stuff that shoots out of a can) stuck to me because their kids sprayed it all over the yard.

One spec of glitter? For someone who works in people's yards? Oh please. That means absolutely nothing. They probably had a birthday party in the yard and someone put a bunch of glitter in a card or something, and it blew everywhere.

It's suspicious that he immediately became defensive and his first reaction was to try to prevent the argument from even happening, rather than attempting to explain himself.

If it really was no big deal, and a big misunderstanding, why couldn't he just simply tell you where it came from and let that be the end of it rather then get all pissed off for no reason?

Start checking his phone, and following him, and checking up on him immediately! Okay, no, but like for real, do you trust your husband? Has he given you any reason not to trust him? If the answer is yes for the first and no for the second, then getting paranoid or stalking him to try and trap him somehow, is only going to blow up in your face. It's one bit of glitter that could have come from anywhere or anything. If you notice anything else out of the ordinary going forward, then sure, trust that instinct and maybe do a bit of covert checking in on him, but otherwise, don't ruin a good thing over what may literally be nothing.

1. Glitter on his face is totally innocent. A single piece of glitter isn't suspicious, it can come from anywhere. I had glitter on my face the other day and had no idea where it came from but I don't wear make up and had no close contact with anyone or anything involving glitter as far as I'm aware, so it really dos just turn up when you aren't aware of it :P

2. His reaction was super defensive which is weird but he probably is just genuinely innocent.

could it be what you think? perhaps but glitter is in many places (maybe he touched a birthday card, maybe a child's toy somewhere, maybe he was in a store looking at who knows what, etc, etc) and can easily get stuck to someone.

Really? There's no excuse, no explanation that will quell your, more than likely, unfounded worries.
He works in landscaping, so he's in back yards that might have anything being blown around, including glitter. He may have gone to a mall to get lunch or any other reason and some glitter may have attached to his face.
I have always found that those who see dirt at any given opportunity, know dirt themselves.
Were it me i'd also be pissed off. And be asking questions of you.
