What is love nowadays?

girls and guys , do you really feel this word "love" whenever you are with someone ,that you are not with him/her just for sex or for money or for a name among your friends that you have a girlfriend/boyfriend or maybe like this is the only guy/girl the world will give me ...nowadays do you really love your guy/girl so much ,that you don't care about anyone ...did love ever take you out of this world ..i mean totally out...and am not talking about infatuation or crush ...

yes I do feel love like that. I have only ever gone with 2 guys and in my life and that's because both I have felt extremely deep feelings for. the first I split with because over time my feelings did change though throughout the relationship I did love him. my current boyfriend I know I love even more, we have talked about the future, how we'd love to get married, possibility of children. to a lot of people this idea does freak them out but me and him are like minded people and we are together because we can't imagine life without one another and we want to think about a future in which we have everything together

Honestly I understand where your coming from. OK sure yeah I am only 16 but I'm very mature for my age and yeah love for some people is a game. When you feel love nothing around you matters much except your partner right beside you. That isn't infatuation that is love and if your going to put words like "did love ever take you out of this world" it's not a crush it's love. But yes now days love seems to be a game

i always knew that I wasn't actually in love (except for the first guy I dated because I was young & stupid). I've really liked guys before but I've never actually loved a guy so much that I didn't care about anyone else. so yeahhh right now I'm choosing to stay single because most of the guys I dated didn't care about me at all & turned out to be douchebags.

I've been truly in love before, it's very overwhelming and leaves you very vulnerable, I don't think I'll ever do it again, meaning I'll love others, but never let myself 'fall in love' again, for that means that I am hers and have lost my power.

Yes we both loved each other/were in love equally, but I never want to feel that vulnerable again though. I was only 16 and she was 14 though

love is when you think about that person every second of the day and even if your away from them for a few hours you miss them so much it hurts. love is when you can picture your whole life, and all the changes, but the one thing that doesn't change is him... yeah these days "love" seem superficial ect ect but there is still people out there, REAL people, who know what love is.
