A guy who blushes/has rosy cheeks...is that a turn off?

I have rosy cheeks and I do blush more than most people and yeah it bugs me (always has) but it seems that the older I get (23) the more I struggle to accept this as how I am. I guess as kid its acceptable but is an adult it shows a certain vunerability that you are meant to have shed or at least learn to hide as you mature.

Both visually and mentally I imagine its not something girls are attracted to. Hmm, I try to not let it bother me but it has/is taking its toll on my confidence. I'd like to know what people thought.

Definately not a bad thing darlin. I have a weakness for it and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I had an ex who's ears would constantly turn red whenever I'd look at him (before we started dating) and when I asked him out he turned red from head to toe it was the most adorable reaction I'd ever seen. Made me like him even more and I always knew when he was angry, happy, embarassed, etc and could act and/or take care of him accordingly. If a girl has an issue with it then she's shallow and you don't need to waste your time with childishness like that. Be proud of it and embrace it. If you can make light of it you could find that it can be used to your advantage.

I didn't expect answers like this. I always presumed that most would find it a) unattractive b) unmasculine or child-like. Thanks for giving me a different perspective on it. It really gets me down - the blushing, and sometimes it stops me doing/saying things I want to. I guess I need to try and not be so hard on myself when it happens and just accept myself as I am, but the answers here have given me a bit more hope now.

Good to hear darlin and you really shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I asked a few friends what they thought and only 1 of the 9 didn't share mai opinion in some form. And she was more concerned that a guy like you may be quite shy which would be bad since she is intimidatingly shy herself. Oh and if your confidence has taken a bit of a hit just fake it until you get it back. If you start feeling self concious or down when it happens remember that there are at least 13 girls who consider your

blushes endearing, cute, attractive, informative, normal or sweet and you could be chatting with a girl of similar tastes. :) The older we get the more sensible and (hopefully) less shallow we get so don't beat up on yourself or sell yourself short hun.

yeah I personally find it attractive in girls (but then again it's often seen as a more feminine trait) but it's reasuring to know that it's not the such a big issue for some people, considering how it feels at the time.

It's a turn on for all guys no matter how attractive or unattractive they are because I just think about what I can do to make them blush even harder or if they get red all over.

the same thing happens to me, and I worry about it from time to time. The reason it happens is because blood rushes to your head easily, it does this because your brain is trying to operate at a higher level. really, the only issue is that a girl will know pretty easily that you are being affected by her presense, so if she is like, "uh, this guys is totally into me, what a turn off" then she is a bitch.
