Unless you're 100% certain you've met the ONLY woman you ever want to be with, at age 16, why get involved with a smoker if it turns you off? You can't rely on the hopes she'll stop smoking just because she likes you if you end up dating. Find a non smoker.

Yes. I'm a child of parents who smoked. As a result, I have health problems that have been traced directly back to that fact.

I used to think it is a deal-breaker. But now I think more of the progress of quitting and that he don't smoke when he is with me.

At end of our first date, he wanted to smoke while we waited for the bus. I told him "Enjoy your puff, I will be 3 metres away".
At the end of our second date, we were walking along the smoking area, he pulled me to the other side, using his body as a barrier from the smoke (ya, he towers over me).. That was when he said "I am going to cut the number of sticks and eventually quit because of you"

2 months into official BF/GF status... he has cut from 7 sticks a day to 4 sticks. That is progress...

Weed is good for memory and brain function when used in moderation. Weed affects a part of the brain called the cannabinoid receptor, which plays a part in regulating sleep, hunger, emotions, and memory, thc is a cannabinoid, and its the chemical that gets you high. Out bodies also naturally produce cannabinoids, thats why we have a cannabinoid receptor.

If used too heavily during teen years it can cause some issues, for example smoking for 20 years can cause a drop in iq of 8 points. Most health risks require very heavy usage though.

And one thing is that I don't mean doctors always lie I just say it's POSSIBLE. They can use doctors as a means to advertise their products. Advertisements are all lies. U must have seen lots of advertises about cakes biscuits icecream and something like that. When u watch them on TV they look like something came from heaven but when u get it, it's not even a bit similar to what they show on TV.

Deal breaker.. One of the main reasons that's making me question our relationship.. He's promised that he'd try his best to quit and gullible me believed him instantly. Until he sent a pic of what he was holding and there was cigarette ash on his lap.. I don't think he has ever felt remorse when he lights a stick.. He even took that pic when we were talking on the phone.

If I'd known before hand that he smokes, I wouldn't have had started talking to him. No one smokes in my family although my dad did come from a smoking family. Thankfully my dad never saw the fun in it.
My grandfather died because of it. We took care of him when he was really, really weak and sickly. He had a tube in his esophagus and you'd hear him wheezing. He died silently in his sleep while we were quietly having dinner.
