Like the subject says, one friend (or ex-friend? no confirmation yet) did say at one point that I'm (basically) being egoistic, and I just remembered that it is the one trait that I despise about myself. Worse: scared me. AND in turn, made me paranoid (and/or insecure?).
I mean, I fear that being Egocentric, (sometimes? or more often than that? I'm not sure anymore) even occasionally, is something that NO ONE would want in their potential partner. (And only to an extent as a friend)
So, in short, I fear that with such a flaw, I'd always remain single... and with a lot of breakups, and possibly hate as well.
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it: I really need to "hear" something that'll help me take my mind off it, and focus on moving on with my life. (such as what you girls generally think of people who are said to be egocentric. Something hinting that it's not hopeless for me to actually find love one day.)
