Does He Sound Like He Wants To Cheat on His Wife? (Read scenario.)?

A married man is with his friend (who is a girl). They are alone together at his house. They discuss how it’s funny some people think they’re "more than friends," when they’ve never done ‘anything’. They hang out together often, sometimes all three of them, but that's rare. (All three of them meaning his wife.) He mentioned that he’s been faithful to his wife for many years & wouldn’t mess it up by having an affair. “My wife would not be okay with it if I did, nor allow me to do such a thing.” He said. He continued on how he & his wife don’t get along very well, but they make it work.

Does that quoted sentence sound like he wants to since he's throwing it on his wife, saying she wouldn't allow it? I mean, no kidding. How many wives would allow their husbands to have affairs with their female friends...
