Why does my ex get mad when I don't answer his phone call?

He gets real upset but more of a passive agressive attitude to where I try calling him back then text him afterwards and he doesn't respond for days. I don't understand if I call someone and they don't answer I won't care. But he seems to hold a grudge. Why?

Why is he your ex but you’re still giving him boyfriend leverage/special treatment? The right to have access to you at any time gets revoked once the relationship is over. This is how lines get blurred, and situationships start — by ending a relationship and yet you still do things you did while in it. If he wants to be able to bitch about your availability then he needs to make you his again. If not then he needs to shut up and get treated like any other friend of yours. Sounds harsh but clarity is everything and that’s one topic you want to be very clear about.

Exactly! That's what I say if we're friends you need to treat me as a friend and stop getting confused. We had a fall out a year ago and reconnected recently as friends so that's why I'm like 🤔 trust me, I'm with you because to me it sounds petty

I feel like ex’s always have ulterior motives when they come back claiming they’re ready to be friends lol. I’ve never experienced or witnessed an ex actually follow through with being a friend. They always get jealous or act stupid, yet don’t want to commit again or open that door again. Such bs, but I’m glad to see you’re level headed and smart about this!

I agree I'm not mad about this behavior which is why I don't cut him off because I feel if I get upset that he's upsets it'll just be us going in circles lol if anything I just convey I don't give a damn lol cuz if he walked away from the friendship I'll still be laughing and enjoying life!
